- Pros today are starved for information about their functionality and how they're perceived by people around them. That is why 360 feedback offers such tremendous value for people and organizations. I will begin this dialogue by discussing an example from my own expertise. Years before, I had been a supervisor at a big insurance company getting involved in a leadership development program that included a formal 360 evaluation. Even though the majority of the results were not exactly sudden, I had been disappointed with some of the positions and comments. It was discouraging to find that other people did not perceive me to become quite as empathetic, openminded, and thinking about others' viewpoints I thought I was. I had been giving away the impression that I had been more worried about providing results and getting forward. The truth isI did care about the others' viewpoints, but that feeling has been lost in translation. My purpose as well as their expertise did not match. Obviously, I will be truthful, it was painful to listen to and somewhat embarrassing.

- If our conventional means of considering functionality requires an overhaul, envision exactly how much we will need to believe otherwise regarding performance management. Thus, let us consider performance management as we thought about this with what I call the previous principles of work. Conventional performance management has ever been considered as two types of actions.
